Welcome to my blog, lovelies! Let me introduce myself… my name is Anna, and I am obsessed with all things: fashion, beauty, travel & wellness. I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and I am a Chicago-native. I’m finally taking a leap in creating this space to highlight my favorite trends, places and overall journey through life. I have always been passionate about fashion and travel, and what not a better time to finally showcase these interests. Thank you for joining me as I navigate through life as I share some of my favorite things with you all!

Last week, I visited Newport Coffee House, a beautiful little cafe located in the heart of Evanston near Northwestern University. It’s a great local spot to grab a matcha latte and delicious baked goods: my favorites were the fluffy croissants & cinnamon-chip scones (*soooo mouth-watering). The coffeeshop does an excellent job adhering to the proper social-distancing guidelines that are in place due to the pandemic. Newport has a relaxing, bright, and modern ambiance and has a super cozy vibe. They even have outdoor seating with a mini outdoor fireplace! I recommend anyone who visits the Northshore area to stop by Newport Coffee House, you can also check out their certified organic coffee subscription online if you’re a total coffee addict like me!

As for this winter season, a trend that I’ve been loving is the cozy shacket: shirt + jacket. I’ve seen this trend emerging late last Autumn 2020 with many brands such as Aritzia, Zara, H&M, & Mango rolling out with styles, my favorite would be beige tones or plaid. I got mine from Old Navy last Fall at an affordable price-point (I have some styles linked below, if you want to check them out). Shackets are great pieces to layer with sweaters, turtlenecks and paired with a pair of vintage-jeans and classic black booties. Shackets are trends that are definitely here to stay!
